    Parkway Drive

    I may well have arrived at Adelaide uni in time to see Confession, had I not been forced to spend 20 minutes trying to find out how to actually get into the area of the Uni Lawns where the gig was being held. We wandered down from North Terrace only to be faced with a huge excavation blocking us from the venue. We were not alone, as there were a number of confused faces around us – we could see the venue, hear the music, but how the hell were we meant to get in? We finally found the entrance, and just as I walked through the gates Confession left the stage.     The Wombats @ Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide

    I first saw The Wombats play when I was shooting the Parklife Festival in 2010. I didn’t really know who they were, just some band on during the daylight hours. They pulled some nice shapes, and I got some decent shots, and really didn’t think much more about it but now that I am driving nearly an hour to work each morning I am listening to Triple J more and this band has become huge over the last few months.     Belle And Sebastian

    Sometimes things go your way.

    We had made the decision a few months ago that we couldn’t afford to buy tickets to the Belle & Sebastian gig at Her Majesty’s Theatre. We had seen them a few years earlier at Thebarton Theatre, and it was fantastic, but money was tight and we had to make that tough call. Then a few days before the gig we were given 2 free tickets, in exchange for a review. Amazing! My partner and I planned to meet after work, have a nice dinner, and head off to the gig. Read More
