Buzzcocks @ The Gov, 2016

Buzzcocks returned to Australia in 2016 celebrating 40 years!
These shots are from their Adelaide gig at The Gov.

Shot by Kerrie Geier for TheMusic.com.au.

About the shoot: I must have see Buzzcocks about 5 times now, their style of pop-punk is right up my alley and they are responsible for some of my favourite tracks from this era of British punk.  So, with that, I know what to expect from a Buzzcocks gig. While Pete Shelley sings the majority of tracks, you are going to get most of your memorable action shots from Steve Diggle who throws his guitar around and can’t resist playing with those fans in the front rows. Again, I went to my 16-35mm lens knowing that I wanted to get some full body shots of Diggle as well as shots of the entire stage. Another gig where there was no barrier, and with a pretty dedicated crowd, I shot my three songs and got out of the punters way. However, I had my camera handy and grabbed a few wide shots of the stage and the crowd as the band were wrapping up their last song – which gives you are real feeling of what the show was like.
